Overview
The Digit 5 humanoid robot (Digit 5) is a bipedal humanoid platform developed by Agility Robotics. Agility Robotics has released the commercial humanoid robot Digit 5 for heavy-duty warehouse tasks. Digit 5 is a commercial humanoid robot designed for heavy-duty warehouse tasks and is the brand's first humanoid product designed for safe, large-scale human-robot collaborative operations. It has a rated payload of 23 kg and is equipped with a Nyobolt fast-charging battery, providing 90 minutes of runtime after 9 minutes of charging, achieving a 10:1 work-to-charge ratio.
The system supports over 20 hours of effective operation within a 24-hour period, meeting the demands of more than two full shifts per day. Early trials are expected to begin in the first half of 2027. Applicable scenarios include manufacturing, warehousing, and logistics distribution, aiming to improve fleet deployment utilization. Core hardware specifications include: rated payload 23.0 kg, runtime approx. 1.5 h.
Regarding perception, computing, and system integration, the model is configured with RGB-D depth cameras, 3D LiDAR / stereo vision, full-body joint encoders, and a 6-axis IMU. Onboard computing utilizes an onboard edge heterogeneous computing unit (CPU + GPU), and the technology stack covers Level L1. Development and selection teams can evaluate motion envelopes, payload limits, and secondary development adaptability for target operational scenarios using official product documentation, motion control interfaces, and simulation assets (URDF/MJCF).
Digit 5 URDF & simulation models
